$200 Bathroom refresh (+ sources)

$200 Bathroom refresh (+ sources)

Hi Guys! SOO, I think the number 1 thing I struggle with it life is always looking ahead to the next phase and not being content enough in the moment I’m in. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE MY LIFE…but there’s usually that little tug…”as soon as I have a big closet” “as soon as the wall is gone in the kitchen” “as soon as goldie has her own room”. It’s great to have goals and want to reach them but when it affects your everyday happiness that’s when you (really I) need to start putting in the work. I have been putting in the work on myself this year and I’m not there yet but I’m growing and the work is paying off! The most important thing for me and what keeps me on track is acknowledging my gratefulness every day at many different points during the day. There is always so much to be thankful for that I could never run out of things to acknowledge!

This is our master bathroom and it’s TINY and outdated and kind of a bummer. I’ve never had a bathroom I love so of course I’m really looking forward to that someday. We are planning on extending our kitchen into this bathroom as soon as we save up enough money so this bathroom will become a pantry. We obviously don’t want to put any money into it since it will demo-ed but it was bumming me out every day so it needed a refresh. I only spent money on things I could use in other ways once this bathroom is gone.

I feel guilty about not being happy enough with the bathroom as it was before but I know that I am a person who is 100% inspired by her surroundings so I really shouldn’t feel guilty about that, right??

Anyway, it’s much more pleasant now in the meantime while we save and plan for the redo. And I will continue working on enjoying each moment in the house as is. :)
