Welcome to my blog. Take your shoes off, sit a spell?

15 months.

It's true, what they say.
15 months is but a flash.

Lots of sleepy nights, baby belly laughs, and 10 teeth we are. So many difficult moments and so many moments where my heart could just burst open from the sweetness of this little creature. No one can tell you how hard it is to give your whole being to care for a baby but in 18 years I will be able to look back and know that I gave everything I had and cherished every moment.

15 months is definitely my new favorite age. She has always given me back so much love but now more than ever I am reaping the benefits of letting go of myself and thinking only of her. I melt a little more with every tight hug, point, and smile.

Here she is playing in her new room. Her favorites are her circus play set, make-up bag, the pictures of herself above her bed (LOL), and all her books and babies.

She has just started getting picky when it comes to food. I was so proud that she used to eat she's spitting out black pepper and quinoa. ;( I won't stop trying, though. Maybe it's just a phase?

We are doing the floor bed and it has made my life so much better. She's sleeping on it about half the night, which is progress. On a good night she's up twice, which I can definitely handle and feel rested the morning after. On a bad/teething out! Haha. I do still nurse her to sleep most of the time..but not all of the time...again...PROGRESS. As long as we're moving forward, I am encouraged. I go back and forth about weaning...some days I am done breastfeeding and some days I can't imagine not breastfeeding. Right now it feels like such a big part of who I am. I'm actually about to cry thinking about stopping. Ah well, all I can do is follow Goldie's lead. I feel like she knows best in this situation.

She isn't saying too many words..but she's right on track with Mama, Dadda, Hi, Hey, Doggie, Baby, and die (haha?). She loves peek-a-booing us, showing off in her dresses, putting things in her mouth and waiting for a laugh, showing us Birdie's bottom, and trying to lift up everyone's shirts to see their belly buttons. Her hair has gotten SO long but she definitely hates when I try to put her ponytail in. Her current favorite songs are "royals" and "story of my life". She loves music videos more than cartoons and she is debuting new dance moves every day.

She is an absolute entertainer and her spirit is so joyful and pure. I can't even say how grateful I am to be her mom.

XO, Coury
